Q & A

There’s a ton of info here, but it’s questions I get quite often (and some of it is important) so read up!

Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes I do! Just let me know and I can send you an invoice. Other payment forms accepted: Venmo, Chase QuickPay, Check, & Cash.

Q: What should we wear to our engagement shoot?
A: Dress comfortably! We’ll be doin’ lots of walking. Stay away from white shirts if possible. Sun dresses on women always look great in pics. If you’re more comfortable in jeans, that works too. Some people might do an outfit change if they’d like which I don’t mind at all, pets are welcome too!

Q: How early should we do our engagement shoot?
A: Some people use engagement photos for their save the date card, others just use it to have pics shown at the wedding (and on Facebook). I would suggest the LATEST you do your engagement shoot to be 3 weeks prior to the wedding. On average, most people do it 3-9 months before their wedding date.

Q: How long have you been shooting weddings?
A: Since late 2009, which as of now comes out to be a little over 150 weddings.

Q: What kind of camera do you use?
A: I shoot with two Nikon D750’s. One usually has a 35mm f/1.4 lens mounted, and the other has an 85mm f/1.4 lens. Of course there’s hundreds of other tid-bits that I bring along with backup gear, but I consider that to be my workhorse setup.

Q: Do you bring a 2nd photographer?
A: I discuss this with the couple, and if we decided one is needed, then they’ll be there. There’s an extra hourly charge, but it’s quite minimal.

Q: How much of a deposit is required to secure the date?
A: Your date is safe the second you email me. If someone else inquires about it, only then will I require a deposit which is $500. I give people enough time to take care of this before I move on to the next person, and never had any issues with it. This deposit is generally non-refundable except for special circumstances.

Q: How many final images can I expect?
A: On average, I’d say around 800-1200 depending on the length of the wedding. I’d say it’s safe to expect 100 final images per hour. Engagements I’d say say around 60-100.

Q: The blog images are great, but can I view some complete wedding galleries you’ve done?
A: Of course! I don’t post complete wedding galleries online for privacy reasons, but shoot me an email and I’ll be more than happy to link you to some full wedding galleries I’ve done.
